Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount will initiate large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August valued at $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm planning to disclose all specifics via its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates had indicated the firm aimed to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

Until December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
